![]() ![]() Clearing each one unlocks a new transformation (Kaioken, Super Saiyan 1, 2, 3, and God for Goku), and if the player already has the transformation then it a cutscene will show the character sheepishly informing Whis that they were already capable of reaching those heights. These battles are much more straightforward, as they do not employ the battle conditions, and are set at levels 20, 35, 60, 75, and 100. The other type of training Whis offers is Limit Break Training, which serves as an alternate method to unlock transformations. These missions are set at levels 5, 25, 45, 70, 100, 150, and 200 and reward items that grant experience points. These battle conditions modify the fight, such as increasing the player's melee damage or reducing the Ki cost of the player's super attacks, and should inform the player on the best strategy to use if they find themselves struggling to beat one of the training missions. The unique thing about these battles is the battle conditions tied to each one. At first only the former will be available to the player, which consists of a series of battles against Whis at various levels. Whis offers two types of training, Super Level-Up Training and Limit Break Training. Eventually, the two Saiyans agree and the entire DLC then opens up to the player, including Whis' training and even the Beerus Battle should one be crazy enough to attempt it yet. The two seem to already know each other despite this scene being playable before the latter is even introduced to the story, and it is quickly revealed that Whis has summoned the Saiyans to this world in order to train them to entertain Beerus. ![]() This can be done at any time, as soon as the player gains access to Goku and the menu at the very beginning of the game.ĭoing this will initiate a cutscene in which Goku and Vegeta find themselves on Beerus' homeworld. Now that the DLC is finally here and players can experience it in full, many feel that although it hasn't quite lived up to the high expectations or filled the shoes of the base game, it is still fun and enjoyable. When updates did finally come, they were mostly changes to the season pass that many perceived as negative, something which is especially problematic since many people had already paid for it. The season pass initially made available back in January when the game released would go months without any updates. For those players that were expecting original story episodes rather than boss battle episodes, there is still some element of story in the DLC, but the main focus is definitely training to get strong enough to fight Beerus, who is truly a force to be reckoned with.įor those that don't know, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's DLC has had a bit of a stormy past. Unfortunately, there isn't quite as much content as many originally envisioned, but on the bright side what content there is can be rather challenging.
